The ABB AI581‑S (P/N 1SAP282000B0001) is a high-integrity safety-rated analog input module in the AC500‑S (S500) PLC series. It offers four configurable current inputs (4–20 mA or 0–20 mA, 14‑bit resolution) and provides SIL 2 performance across all channels, with up to SIL 3 achievable on two channels under discrepancy monitoring. Designed for functional safety applications, it features PROFIsafe-enabled, fast conversion, configurable filtering, and robust diagnostics.
