The Basler Electric DECS-200-1C is a microprocessor-based digital excitation control system designed to regulate the output voltage, reactive power (VARs), or power factor of synchronous generators by controlling the DC excitation applied to the generator’s exciter field. This versatile unit is suitable for a wide range of generator sizes and applications, offering precise control and comprehensive protection features.

  • Flexible Output Voltage Options: Supports 32 VDC, 63 VDC, or 125 VDC outputs at 15 ADC, accommodating various excitation requirements. 

  • High Regulation Accuracy: Achieves ±0.25% voltage regulation accuracy over the load range at rated power factor and constant generator frequency. 

  • Multiple Operating Modes: Includes Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), Field Current Regulation (FCR), VAR, and Power Factor (PF) control modes. 

  • Advanced Protection Functions: Features overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, loss of sensing, and exciter diode monitoring protections. 

  • Comprehensive Monitoring: Provides sequence of events recording (up to 127 events) and oscillography (up to 8 records) for detailed analysis. 

  • Communication Interfaces: Equipped with RS-232 and RS-485 ports, supporting Modbus™ protocol for remote monitoring and control. 

  • User-Friendly Interface: Front panel includes a backlit LCD display, navigation buttons, and LEDs for easy operation and status indication.
