The Pepperl & Fuchs KFD2‑UFC‑EX1.D (P/N 188370) is a frequency-to-current converter with trip alarm functions, designed for intrinsically safe systems. It converts a digital input (from NAMUR sensors or dry contacts) into a proportional 0/4–20 mA analog output, plus relay and transistor alarm outputs. With SIL 2 certification and loop-powered design, it’s ideal for precision signal isolation and control in hazardous (Zone 2) environments.
